Little Baby Chloe: A Miracle Birth After Years of Struggle

The Narrative

The Birth of my Niece

Interviewed: Guadalupe

Guadalupe’s sister Brenda married Salvador approximately in 2005. After their marriage they decided to try and start a family, and were surprised by the fact that Brenda has been unable to conceive. Brenda and Salvador have been trying to have a baby for several years and have been un-successful in their attempts.

Brenda decided to go see a doctor to find out if anything was wrong because she has not been able to get pregnant. Brenda has been seeing a OB/GYN for over two years and still no baby, she did however think she was pregnant on two different occasions, and to her disappointment they were false hopes.

Brenda finally was able to conceive, but then something terrible happened, for she lost the very baby she thought that she was finally going to be able to have. After a few years of trying, going to see a doctor, and finally a miscarriage. Brenda decided that she had enough, and eventually Brenda and Salvador gave up on the idea of having a baby.

After Brenda and Salvador gave up on the idea of having a child of their own, then low and behold Brenda was finally able to conceive and she became pregnant. Brenda was amazed when she became pregnant, and did not really believe that she was actually pregnant, even after it was confirmed by her doctor.

Brenda did not have any morning sickness to confirm the fact that she was indeed pregnant, but she did start gaining weight, and then the baby started moving around and before you know it, she had the “Baby Bump” and was actually showing.

The family member’s were as happy as can be about Brenda becoming pregnant for now they can see the “Baby Bump.” The family wanted to start planning for the happy event with the new addition to the family “Little Baby Chloe” was soon to come. Brenda was still in shock and she did not want to plan anything, but “oh no” the family said as we will take care of everything.

Brenda had a doctor’s appointment where Salvador was able to attend and hear the baby’s heartbeat, and see the baby by way of ultrasound. Oh how sweet the little girl will be both Brenda and Salvador both did agree.

Little baby girl Chloe decided to enter the world on May 29. Chloe was 6 pounds and she put her mother through 18 hours of agonizing labor. “My poor sister was in hard labor for 18 hours” Guadalupe said. Brenda had the normal baby blues after the birth of Chloe, and became very depressed, but she had family to help her through this and family was happy to visit the little darling as often as can be.

“Wow” Guadalupe thought for now “I am a Aunt, and my sister is a mom.” When her niece was born Guadalupe was breathless to see her, the newest addition to the family, a niece, and now she is a “auntie.”

What Guadalupe learned from this was the wonderful relationships that Aunties and Nieces have, spending time together, and getting to know each other. Guadalupe enjoys her time with her niece.

The Endearing Saga of the Little Bunny That Became a Giant Rabbit

Once Upon A Time

There was this little old lady who lived way on top of a hill, for this little old lady was so lonely that she didn’t know what to do, so the little old lady decided that she should buy a little bunny. The little old lady went to visit the farmer down the road to ask him to take her to the street market to buy a little bunny.

One fine Sunday morning off the little old lady and the farmer went down a long winding country road to the street market to buy a little bunny. The farmer drove an old beat up truck that creaked as they drove, and it would toss the little old lady this way and that way down the long winding country road, till they finally arrived at the street market.

The farmer and the little old lady searched for a little bunny all day, and could not find even one bunny, and then all of a sudden something hopped across the path of the little old lady, so the little old lady and the farmer followed the bunny home.

The little bunny belonged to a young girl who had two little bunnies for sale, but the young girl would not separate the bunnies, so the little old lady offered to buy both bunnies, and paid the young girl for two bunnies. The farmer loaded the bunnies into the back of the old truck, and off the farmer and the little old lady went back home.

The little old lady just loved her little bunnies, and she would feed her bunnies, lettuce, carrots, apples, and bunny food. One day as if by magic the bunnies grew, and grew. The bunnies were now so massive that they were not little bunnies anymore. One bunny was a male and the other bunny was a female, and soon they became mama bunny and papa bunny. Baby bunny was born and he too became to be massive in size, so much so that the little old lady took the bunnies to the Vet.

The Vet told the little old lady that these were not little bunnies, that in fact, these bunnies are rare rabbits called “Continental  Rabbits.” The little old lady’s rabbits were the worlds largest rabbits! Papa bunny weighed 60 pounds and was five feet long. Mana bunny weighed 50 pounds and was four feet long, and baby bunny weighed 40 pounds, and was three feet long.

Now these bunnies were hungry all the time, for they would eat 10,000 carrots a year, and they ate 1,000 apples a year, not to mention lettuce and rabbit food. This poor little old lady would have to plant new grass every year, as the bunnies would eat all the grass.

The little old lady had to have the farmer build a Hugh fence for the bunnies, so that they could run, hop and play. The little old lady just loved her bunnies, and daily she would walk her bunnies, talk to them, and just sit and watch them play.

One day the little old lady went out to play with her bunnies and she found papa bunny and mama bunny asleep in the hey, and baby bunny was sniffing papa bunny and mama bunny. The little old lady went up to papa and mana bunny to wake them from sleep, and found that papa and mana bunny were not moving, nor would they wake up.

The little old lady had the farmer take her and the sleeping bunnies to the Vet, and the Vet told the little old lady that the bunnies only live for 8-9 years, and that papa and mama bunny were old, so they went to rest in bunny land.

The little old lady was so sad to loose her bunnies that she loved so much. The little old lady then went out to baby bunny and tried to pick up baby bunny and hugged him as she said “Once Upon A Time, I wanted a little bunny, for now I have a big rabbit, and you have made me as happy as can be.” Baby bunny just loved when the little old lady would hold him, and he flopped across her lap as happy as can be.

Otherworldly Sounds Unleashed: The Sinister Crate Revelation

Spooky Story Starters

(The scientist cautiously peered into the wooden crate, unsure of the otherworldly sounds coming from within it.)

There was a spooky house way on top of a mountain road overlooking the meadow below. The house had a broken fence with the gate swinging back and forth wide open hanging there, and the hinge was just about popped off, for it creaked when you pushed it open.

There were cob webs all over the ivy and on the trees outside. The windows and window seals were covered with cob webs and spiders it was creepy to even look at.

I wanted to go inside the old creepy house and see what the inside looked like but my friends were too afraid, therefore we started to open the front door and ran because we thought we heard some sounds coming from within the house, so we ran all the way home.

The next day after school I went back to the old creepy house with my friend Creepy Shallow who is not afraid of anything, for Creepy Shallow thinks that he is scary and that he can scare other people, so he goes around making all kinds of creepy noises and sounds by saying “Boo” behind someone just to scare them and watch them jump.

Creepy Shallow decided that it is time to go into the old scary house full of cob webs, spiders and all kinds of hallowing sounds. Creepy Shallow slowly opened the front door, and shouted “Boo! Boo” Creepy Shallow said. The way that Creepy Shallow shouted out Boo startled and scared me, and my knees started to shake.

I thought I heard a voice inside the old scary house saying “Come In” so Creepy Shallow and I entered the house and it was full of furniture covered with dust, cob webs and creaking sounds were coming through the walls. Creepy Shallow could not control himself as usual, and went into the den and found a wooden crate sitting in the middle of the room. The wooden crate was making some really scary sounds, scratching, banging, and it was actually rocking back and forth. I was really scared and screamed and yelled out to Creepy Shallow “Let’s get out of here.” Creepy Shallow and I ran out the door, down the long porch, and out the swinging gate.

Creepy Shallow decided that we should call the police, so we went home and told his parents about the old scary house, and the wooden crate. Creepy Shallow’s parents called the police, and we met the police at the old scary house, and showed the police where the wooden crate was in the den.

The wooden crate was making hollowing sounds, scratching sounds were coming from the old wooden crate, and the old wooden crate was rocking back and forth. The policeman was startled and jumped back, and told us to back up. The policeman called the scientist to come out to the old scary house and check out the wooden crate and it’s contents.

The scientist went to the old scary house the following morning at dusk, and Creepy  Shallow and I went there to see what was in the old wooden crate. The scientist cautiously peered into the wooden crate, unsure of the otherworldly sounds coming from within it. The scientist slowly peeked into the old wooden crate and slammed the crate shut, for it was a dead body (only the bones and skull were in the crate) and when the scientist peeked in the crate, he heard a voice say “Leave me in peace, or I will haunt you for the rest of your life.”

Charming Tale: Mail Carrier’s Struggle and Heartfelt Connection with a Stray Dog

A Mail Carrier and His Dog

There was the mail carrier, standing beside the mail truck! The mail carrier was on East Elm Street, and he was getting ready to deliver today’s mail.

The stray dog spotted the mail carrier and thought “Here’s my new master” he said to himself, and then he took off after the mail carrier. “Hey, buddy, wait for me” the stray dog said. The stray dog stopped right in front of the mail box, laughing at the mail carrier. “Let’s see you put the mail in the mailbox” The stray dog said.

The mail carrier needed to put the mail into the mail box that the stray dog was standing in front of. The mail carrier decided to try and talk to the dog before attempting to put the mail into the mail box. The mail carrier called out to the stray dog “Here, Doggie! Doggie” he said.

The stray dog stood straight up, teeth barred, growling, “Woof-Woof, I’m going to bit you” he replied.

The mail carrier took off running with the stray dog snipping at his heels. “All of a sudden the mail carrier stopped.”

“Why did you stop?” A lady asked?

A man said, “the mail carrier stopped because of a stray dog. The dog is in front of the mail box.”

The mail carrier called out to the stray dog again, “Here, Doggie! Doggie” the mail carrier said.

The stray dog would not move. He would not get out of the way. “Ruff-Ruff, I’m not moving from this spot” the stray dog replied.

A car came by and the driver beeped his horn. Beep, beep, beep.

But the stray dog would not get out of the way “I am not moving, so beep all you want” the stray dog said.

A little boy shouted, “Shoo! Shoo.”

But the stray dog would not move “No, I am not moving, so you move” the stray dog replied.

The mail carrier  decided that he could not trust the stray dog, he was worried that the stray dog would bit him. The mail carrier decided to give the stray dog a bone. “Here, Doggie! Doggie” the mail carrier said.

The stray dog walked up to the mail carrier and wagged his tail like nothing had happened. The stray dog responded with “Now your talking” he replied. The stray dog licked the mail carriers hand.

The mail carrier felt sorry for the stray dog and decided to try to pick  up the stray dog. “Here, Doggie! Doggie” the mail carrier said.

The stray dog jumped so fast, he thought he was going to have a heart attack. And then he felt hands, surrounding, and lifting him! The touch of the mail carrier reaching for him and hugging him close. “Hello” the mail carrier said.

The stray dog responded by “licking the mail carriers hands, and said “hello, master” the stray dog replied.

Everyone watched and waited.

The mail carrier patted the stray dog, Pat, pat, “Good dog” the mail carrier said.

The dog smiled at the mail carrier and said “Lets go home” the stray dog said.

Everyone clapped. “Good dog” they said.

Nostalgic Homage: A Poetic Ode to Family and Heritage

Where I’m From

I am from the great big old house surrounded by trees way on top of a hill. From Snack Pack Tapioca Pudding, and homemade Pumpkin Pie topped with Cool Whip.

I am from the attic of a great big old house located at the top of a long winding staircase with a musty old library, and cob webs everywhere.

I am from the great old maple tree that grows in the yard with branches that spread outwards, and upwards toward the early morning sun. The rose bush that pollen drifts from sweetly scenting the air, and the breeze from the ocean oh so blue.

I’m from the Christmas holidays of laughter and joy, and sharing a meal with family and spreading good cheer.

From Fred and Wilma Flintstone, and siblings Bam Bam, and Pebbles, and Dino the dog.

I’m from the legacy of my ancestors who traveled from afar by ship, across the rough seas of the ocean, and fierce winds.

I’m from the Baptist or Lutheran church whichever comes first, and the Christian sanctuary singing praises unto thee.

From the hero my father who was hit by a missile during the Korean War to protect us here, and my Great Uncle who became a prisoner of war in France during WWI protecting those dear.

Job Search Tips: Resume, Cover Letter, Certificates, and References for Quality Management Positions

Job Hunt

Now that classes are soon to end for the semester, it is time to seriously think about finding a job. It has been awhile since I have had to look for a job seriously, and I should be a pro at the job search since I have worked most of my life, but doubt always sets in, and then all the news on the economy which is now looking better, so here I am thinking about my next employer and what my next job will be. I am open to almost anything and I do have my preferences and of course like everyone else want the compensation that goes with it. I know I have the ability to be affective in any type of work environment, and work hard to ensure that my work ethics, quality and quantity are above average, and I support the company in whatever endeavor’s they pursue.

I have my favorite type of work, but that is not always possible to obtain but I am excellent in certain areas such as Quality Management, or Quality Control/Assurance, as well as working in a office environment, a copy center, production/manufacturing, you name it as I just like working in general, staying busy, using my mind, and body to produce something meaningful to someone is a sense of accomplishment.

If you’re an employer and are seeking a dedicated employee and are located in Southern California, just send me a email, a phone call, or reply to my blog, I will be eager to hear from you.

I have extensive experience in Quality Management (ISO-9001) and am certified as a Quality Management Representative, and an Internal Auditor. I also have extensive experience in Total Quality Management (TQM) from the inception with the proclamation from the white house for companies providing goods to support our troops in combat, military use, etc. had to implement Total Quality Management based upon Deming’s profound knowledge. This proclamation was sent out I believe in 1984, and I started working on Total Quality Management in 1986, and I have successfully implemented Total Quality Management, Continuous Process Improvement, and Managing with Six-Sigma Quality, into companies with successful results.

I implemented the Boeing D1:9000 Advanced Quality System Program into a fastener company making that fastener company the first fastener company to achieve the D1:9000 Certification from Boeing. Once a supplier is approved then Boeing is able to release work to the company.

The things that are needed when you are looking for a job:

  • Resume
  • Cover Letter
  • Certificates/Education
  • References

Writing all this out has really made me feel good, and I wonder at this point where that doubt came from. We humans have a tendency to doubt our own ability, thus in return, hinder our true potential. If I did it once, then I definitely can do it again.

Family Genealogy: Preserving Ancestral Memory for Generations

Research

I have been researching my family roots for approximately eight years, and I have found that it is an endless task, requiring great effort, time and money, in addition, I have created a memorial for my relatives based on the information that I have collected. Relatives have stumbled across my memorial; I guess during their search and have contacted me, which has resulted in linking my relatives together and putting everything in it proper place.

The purpose of my research is for me to not only know who, what, where and when, but also to leave behind a family portfolio for my children and grand children, to be handed down the generations, and most importantly, to have a memorial, a place where my mother is remembered.

“May she rest in peace”
